The BC SPCA has high hopes for the public who can help identify the owner of the stray dog found frightened and wandering alone in the area of Lytton.
The dog does not have any identification, but SPCA hopes someone will recognize her and return her to the family.
It happened during the patrol of two Department of Fisheries employees at 12 Mile Road during the evening of July 8 and the dog appeared at the side of the road.
General Manager of communication for the BC SPCA said, “There was a thunder and lightning storm around 8 p.m., and the dog came running up to their truck.”
Chortyk said the dog is very friendly and sweet.
The dog under good care, but the owner somewhere would be missing and worried about her.
The dog was transferred into BC SPCA care and was taken for veterinary care. She has a leg injury and is being monitored. She is on Medicam to help with any discomfort.
