COLUMBUS, Ohio (WKRC/WSYX) – A 10-year-old pointer, german shorthaired/retriever, labrador mix named “Mica” has finally found his forever home.
He’s been searching for his forever home since 2014. The League for Animal Welfare in Batavia, Ohio says he had a traumatic start to life and that he has learned to be wary of humans he doesn’t know.
Following the reporting of his story by a local news station, the League for Animal Welfare says they received “hundreds of inquiries” regarding Mica from across America, including people in Idaho, California, Texas, Wisconsin, Florida, Hawaii, and more.
Now, after careful consideration of Mica’s past trauma and behavioral needs, the lucky pup has found his home.
A volunteer reached out to Local 12 News to report that Mica had been adopted on Tuesday.
The volunteer provided a picture of Mica’s empty cage, which had been decorated in celebration.
