The world Ugliest dog, Zra Zra, the English Bulldog, who recently earned the title of 2018’s “World’s Ugliest Dog” last month, has died at the age of 9 on Tuesday (July 10, 2018), in Anoka, Minnesota.
According to Megan Brainard, the dog’s owner, Zra Zra died in her sleep, who called the pup’s death “devastating.”
As per the American Kennel Club, the average life expectancy for bulldogs is eight to 10 years. On June 23, Zra Zra won the 30th annual World’s Ugliest Dog contest in California with her barrel chest, slobbering tongue and a pink manicure.
She won the top spot by winning over 13 other dogs. Zsa Zsa’s fans even wore shirts with her face on them.

The name Zra Zra was given to the dog after actress Zsa Zsa Gabor. She spent 5 years in a puppy mill in Missouri before being adopted by Brainard and her husband. For Zra Zra, win the crown, they drove 30 hours from their home in California.
“From the moment we saw her beautiful face, we knew we would be her forever home,” her owners said.
