The dog scare continues in the city, a 63-year-old man was bitten by a stray dog.
The victim named, RK Malik was bitten by a stray dog in Chandigarh. The victim lives in Sector 16 and was retired as a joint registrar from the Punjab and Haryana High Court.
RK Malik said that he was standing outside the park near his house at 1.30 pm when he was bitten.
All of a sudden, a dog pounced on him. He tried to run away from it but the dog chased and bitten him three times. He said that “I could ward off his two attacks, but he was able to bite me on my left leg, leaving me bleeding”.

He went to Sector 19 dispensary where he was given eight injections. While three injections were provided by the dispensary, he had to buy five from the local market.
The injections cost him a whopping 25,500/-. Besides, he had to buy other medicines too. “Every day, I see four or five stray dogs near the park. There is no check by the MC. The officials concerned must act,” he said.
