Clifford The Big Red Dog: The Sequel has been officially announced by Paramount Pictures and is currently in development.
The famous film’s sequel is officially in the works, thanks to its streaming success. Norman Bridwell published his first book in a series of children’s classics in 1963, and Clifford was born. Clifford, the runt of his litter, grew to enormous proportions because Emily Elizabeth, his pet owner, lavished him with love.
Over the course of 80 books, two television series, and a feature picture, Clifford and his loyal buddies meander through different escapades. The sizeable fluffy canine was also designated as Scholastic’s official mascot.
Clifford, The sequel to The Big Red Dog, is in the works, and work on it has already commenced. The media company, on the other hand, did not go into great detail about the event. As a result, it’s unknown when or how the film will be distributed or whether Paramount intends to use the hybrid release model.
According to the news, Clifford The Big Red Dog had a significantly better-than-expected $22 million opening weekend at the box office. But, on the other hand, Clifford was a streaming success, setting new marks on Paramount+ and rapidly becoming the platform’s most-watched original picture.
Given the film’s streaming popularity and fans’ comfort level in the face of the ongoing pandemic, Paramount is expected to release Clifford’s The Big Red Dog 2 in a similar manner, if not exclusively via its Paramount+ streaming platform.
Meanwhile, spectators may start getting excited since the big red dog will be returning to screens in some fashion shortly.
