The first ten episodes of Atomic Cartoons’ latest animated series, Dogs in Space, have just debuted on Netflix. The good news is that there are 10 more episodes on the way, which will complete the series’ first order and will be available on Netflix soon.
The new show premiered on Netflix on November 18th, 2021, and follows a corgi captain and his other canine pals as they search for a new home for humanity. Haley Joel Osment, Sarah Chalke, and Kimiko Glenn provide voices for the series.
The show is produced by Atomic Cartoons, which has worked on a variety of children’s Netflix Original series, including Mighty Express, Beat Bugs, Hello Ninja, The Last Kids on Earth, and Hilda.
While the series did not make the overall top ten in the United States, it did well in the kid’s top tens, which were established in September. On November 18th, the programme debuted in the US kid’s top tens, coming in at number five, ahead of Bella and the Bulldogs but just below Mariah Carey’s All I Want For Christmas Is You. Since then, the show has appeared in the top ten lists for youngsters in the United States on a daily basis, currently at number eight as of November 21st.
Will there be a Second Season?
Yes, as per Atomic Cartoons, a season 2 is in the works, despite it being officially confirmed. However, Netflix scooped up 20 episodes of Dog In Space when it first acquired up the show.
Season 2 will comprise of ten episodes, each lasting approximately 18 minutes.
Netflix is known for ordering animated shows ahead of time. It’s especially prevalent with Dreamworks shows, which have been handed up to six seasons in advance. However, in current history, we’ve primarily seen cartoon series get a two-season advance order. Centaurworld, for example, has a 20-episode upfront order, with season 1 premiering on July 30th and season 2 premiering on December 7th.
