Lucknow Development Authority is building the state’s first dog park in CG city. On Monday, LDA issued a tender for its development. Park will have play areas, a jogging track, a swimming pool, a veterinary doctors’ clinic, a pet kiosk, and a dog grooming station.
Good news for the dog’s lovers. Akshay Tripathi, the vice-chairperson of LDA, said, “Scores of people have pet dogs in the city. However, there is no suitable place for them to take a walk. The park will cost between Rs 15 and Rs 25 crore to build. Officials are looking for 10 acres of land in the Gomti Nagar extension area for the project. A small fee will be charged to guarantee the park is maintained.”
He also said, “Tenders have been invited for the design of the park and gardening work.”
LDA also plans to open a pet dog park. It would be located on three acres of green parkland in the southern part of the CG city. There will also be a dog food court. Moreover, according to executive engineer Avanindra Kumar Singh, furniture, lighting, a covered dog food court, a dog accessories store, a male and female toilet block, and a ticket counter will be provided in the park.
