A dog with a reputation for being the “life of the party” has captivated online after a picture of him and his doggy preschool report grabbed viral attention.
Six-month-old Frank lives in Columbus, Ohio, with his owner Elizabeth Spahr. The young cross-breed pup has been attending preschool twice a week for over a month, where he can let off steam and socialize with other dogs.
On Friday, Spahr shared a picture on Reddit’s r/rarepuppers forum, where it has received more than 28,000 upvotes and hundreds of comments. In the photo, Frank is smiling behind his report card, which tells his owner about his day.
The American Kennel Club explains: “Socializing your puppy is the key to ensuring you have a happy, confident, and well-adjusted dog.”
Introducing your puppy to new sights, sounds, and smells from early days is essential—with treats and praise as they explore new things from other dogs to different people and environments.
“We sent him there because he is truly the most energetic puppy I have ever met,” Spahr told Newsweek. “Our older dog needed a break,” she joked.
When Frank came home with the report card, Spahr was in stitches. “I thought it was hysterical when I saw it because I can only imagine that Frank is probably the class clown that’ll do anything for a laugh, and that’s definitely his idea of the best time,” she said.
The card describes the “life of the party,” the report also says that Frank loved wrestling with his buddies.
“It makes my heart so happy to know that he has so many pals at preschool,” said Spahr. Working on etiquette skills in his preschool class, the report also told Frank’s owners that his best friends are Daisy, Cooper, Vader, Hudson, and even a dog named Angus Beef.
Equally delighted by Frank’s report card, Reddit users flooded to the comments to share their praise and love for the young pup.
“If my boy got that coming home from second grade, I’d be thrilled,” said one commenter.
Another Redditor wrote: “That smile DEFINITELY says ‘life of the party.'”
“He looks so proud of his record card,” joked another reply. While one commenter said: “This made my whole day.”
“When I took a picture of him with the report card, I knew I had to share it,” said Spahr. “He’s so photogenic and looks truly happy in every picture I’ve ever taken of him. I wanted to share the adorableness with anyone who would look in the hope it could brighten their days as well.”
