Animal Aid Unlimited rescued a dog (Oliver) that was found seriously ill lying under a car in India. He was at the brink of death and flies had started swarming around him.
But in just two months, Oliver was brought back to health after being rescued.

When they got close to the puppy, they realized that he was still alive although he was struggling to breathe. A rescuer managed to lift the dog up from the ground and wrapped him in a blanket to take him for urgent medical help.
Oliver under medical treatment
During treatment it was discovered that Oliver’s body was dangerously cold and he had to be hydrated with hot water bottles and IV fluids.
Oliver eventually opened his eyes, but even then it was touch and go if he would survive as he had to be helped just to stand on his four legs.
After his initial treatment, Oliver was still very ill and was unable to even stand with assistance. He was then diagnosed with a raging respiratory infection and had to be treated with antibiotics.
After two months of treatment
After two months of treatment and continual care by the staff at the Animal Aid Unlimited shelter, Oliver was soon back on his feet, running around and playing with his carers.
Animal Aid Unlimited then posted a video on their Facebook page charting the dog’s progress from him being discovered close to death to his current state.
They wrote: “This gentle little spirit amazed us.”
