After being stuck for several hours, a dog named Leonardo was rescued from a sewer in New Rochelle, New York.
The local police and fire department were alerted to the situation and worked together to rescue the dog.
Leonardo’s owner had reported him missing, and it is believed that he fell into the sewer while wandering the streets.
The rescuers used a ladder and a rope to reach Leonardo and pulled him to safety. The dog was checked by a veterinarian and was found to be in good health despite the ordeal.
Leonardo’s owner expressed gratitude to the rescuers for their efforts in saving his beloved pet. He is now under the care of the Humane Society. The shelter described him as a “sweet boy” who loves going for walks.
