Animal Helplines In Mumbai

Mumbai is an Indian city full of motion. In this city full of activities, it is frequently observed that an incapacitated dog requires medical support or a home. We’ve all experienced the pain of incapability when seeing an injured dog or a left-alone dog on the street.

Uninformed of what we can do, we comfort our uneasiness and move on. Dogs are kind, devoting, fond, and somehow harbor the ability to show unconditional love. If you are an animal lover, it’s good to visit a shelter that helps you gain knowledge about domesticated and stray dogs. If you are interested in a pet in Mumbai, try not to purchase rather you can adopt one.

Below is the list of the NGOs, shelters, and helplines. In case of an emergency for a dog, you can reach out to them. If the injury is severe, please take him to the closest vet. It may cost you a little bit, but an innocent life gets saved.

Please consider the points below:

  • NGOs have limitations at their shelters. They can’t accommodate all dogs.
  • The injured animal may be taken for treatment. But after recovery, they are brought to their old locations. Relocation can’t always be possible for stray animals.
  • The person who wants to treat the animal should take responsibility and should be present in the time of NGO’s follow-ups. They need the reference to contact and treat the dog.
  • If NGOs are unable to treat the injured dog, you may visit a local vet. A vet should give some concession in treatment cost as it is a stray animal.
  • Some shelters may accommodate the dog if the owner affords the fund for the respective home.
