The Noida Authority has launched a mobile application to make the registration of Pet Dogs and Cats easier. Registration is mandatory under the administration rules, but only a few people have come forward to get the pets registered so far.
The pet owners provide every information about their pets with that goes three photos. The owners also need to upload the digital signature, vaccination book, and identity card of their pet. The registration fee amounts to Rs. 1,000 per year. It needs to be renewed every year. At present, only dogs and cats are being registered.
Individuals have to get the pet registered within 15 days of ownership. The Noida Authority rules state that the owners must not leave the dog unattended in any public area like parks, roads, streets, etc. Also, they shall not allow the pet for open defecation on parks, streets, roads, etc. It is the responsibility of the owners that the neighbors or any individual do not get disturbed by the pets.
In case the owner of the registered pet dies, or somebody else buys or adopts the pet, the authority must be informed within 15 days.
