Watch: Firefighters Rescue Visually Impaired Dog After Falling At A Construction Site

The video shared on Facebook shows how a visually-impaired dog got rescued after falling into a construction site.

California: Firefighters jumped to save a visually impaired dog that escaped from its human’s yard and fell into a 15-foot-deep hole at a nearby construction site. 13 years old dog named Caesar ran through a gap in the fence of its human, who lives near the building site.

A rescuer was dropped into the 3-foot-wide hole by firefighters using a system of cables and pulleys. Around 7 p.m. Tuesday, Caesar fell into the hole, about 15 feet deep and 3 feet wide. It took the crew member about 12 minutes to reach the dog, secure him in a harness and get him back to the surface. At the site, the dog was reunited with its beloved human and did not seem hurt.

The caption reads, “Successful dog rescue: Last night, our personnel performed a Technical Rescue of a blind canine who fell approximately 15 feet into a hole at a construction site. The canine was extricated in roughly 13 minutes. After the rescue, the canine was assessed, determined to be uninjured, and returned to the owner.
