Borzoi Health
Borzoi is usually healthy, but like all breeds, they are prone to specific health conditions. Not every Borzoi gets diseases. You must be aware of them if you are considering this breed.

Temperament
Borzois are independent and quite athletic dog breeds. They do not possess a territorial drive and hence do not make very good watchdogs. Borzois are an extremely smart and patient breed that requires experienced handling.
Training & Intelligence
Borzois are known to be intelligent but require gentle and patient handling. It might be a bit difficult for new parents to train the breed themselves. Borzois come with a short span of attention, and therefore it is advisable to design short training sessions that are not repetitive.
Procreation
Borzois are one of the healthy breeds and attain sexual maturity at the age of six to nine months. If you are a first-time pet parent, it is best to seek the help of a veterinarian so that optimum pre and postnatal care is provided to the dog.
