It is that time of the year again when dogs get to dress up to match the Halloween season!
Hundreds of dogs and over 10,000 people gathered at New York City’s East Village park to experience the 29th Annual Tompkins Square Halloween Dog Parade. A wonderful event of dogs walking down in costumes is a treat to watch.
We tend to call it one of the biggest Halloween costume events in the US. The dog parade attracts a ton of audience and participants, who dress up their pet dogs to match a theme.
The Tompkins Square Dog Run was the first dog run in New York City. It all started in 1990 in order to attract people back to the park.
This year due to overwhelming crowd response, the event had to shift to the waterfront setting of East River Park.
The priority of the event is to ensure dog safety, so every dog in a costume that you see is loved by their family.
The prizes were given for the innovative costumes as well.
Here are some of our favorite picks from the event!
