On Tuesday, Anup Satpathy, Divisional Railway Manager, inaugurated the renovated RPF Dog Squad Centre at Marripalem.
Speaking on occasion, the DRM stated that these dogs would be placed on duty along with the handlers at the station for frequent checking of passenger luggage and to take out anti-sabotage checks at the station.
The sniffer canines can detect volatile substances such as PETN, RDX, and TNT, besides detecting narcotic drug imports.
The DRM also inaugurated the newly-built (RPF) Railway Protection Force barracks at Srungavarapu Kota in the presence of Ch. Raghuveer Senior Divisional Security Commissioner and other officials. It is well equipped with a modern kitchen, gym, dining hall, and recreation room.
After that, the DRM inspected the Level Crossing gate at Malliveedu. He had an interaction with the gateman and checked the registers and working tools. Moreover, he also interacted with the gang men and women and enquired about their welfare, grievances, and required facilities.
