Haveri police sniffer dog squad has grown in strength with the addition of Jhansi, a female Doberman. After Johnny’s death, Jhansi was inducted into Johnny’s place.
Johnny aided over 65 criminal cases in the district, including robbery, theft, and murder. The dog was a nightmare for criminals. The 14-month-old dog is trained at Adugodi police headquarters and prepared to assist in the investigation of crimes.
“In Bengaluru, Jhansi was taught how to behave with the attack, behave, follow instructions, duty, and discipline. The dog is quite sensitive and an understanding animal. It has been following instructions perfectly.
Srikant Kabbur, a trainer stated that they have been monitoring Jhansi’s health daily. The dog is being taken out in the mornings for exercises, running, and walks. All four dogs – Rani, Kanana, Julie, and Jhansi eat breakfast that consists of vegetables, cereals, malt, eggs, and milk.
The police sniffer dog squad also assisted in the investigation of numerous thefts, murder cases, and robberies in the district.
