A rescued beagle from San Antonio has found his forever home in New York City with President Donald Trump’s family. Ben the rescued beagle came to Animal Care Services in April 2016, for the treatment of severe mange that covered all his body.
Ben spent about a month at the Callahan Vet Hospital for the treatment of his injuries. As there is a two week quarantine hold for any dog that is required to be moved out of the state, Ben had to stay in San Antonio for a longer period.
A Rescue group took Ben to New York
After the quarantine period was over, Ben was medically examined for inter-state travel. A group named Rescue Dogs Rock NYC took Ben to New York. They were able to connect Ben with President Donald Trump’s son, Eric Trump and his wife, Lara. The couple fostered Ben and decided they wanted to keep him.
Since then Ben’s journey has been amazing. Take a look at some of the social media posts that Eric and Lara Trump shared.
“We’ve gotten quite a few pictures of him! He’s happy and spoiled. And he’s got the life we hope for all of our pets,” said Gerry Leah Zavala, Animal Care Service (ACS) Rescue Foster supervisor.”
Lara Trump has posted several photos with Charlie and Ben the rescue dog. The pair of canines are seen enjoying the beach in North Carolina and the snow In Washington DC. Eric Trump has also shared Ben’s pictures on his social media account.
