THE 145th ANNUAL WESTMINSTER KENNEL CLUB DOG SHOW WILL NOW HAPPEN IN JUNE 2021
One of the biggest dog shows in the world is now going to happen in June 2021 at the historic Lyndhurst Estate in Tarrytown, New York. It will be the 145th edition of the Annual Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show.
It is scheduled to happen on June 12 and June 13, 2021 (weekend). The FOX Sports network brings the show live across television, keeping in mind the government restrictions during the pandemic. The show moved to springtime to allow every dog owner and lover to attend the show. Westminster Club is committed to ensuring the safety of all attendants and participants.
The weekend will start with Masters Agility Championship on June 11, followed by Junior Showmanship, Breed, Group, and the Best in the Show on June 12-13, 2021. The main event Masters Obedience Championship will be on Sunday, June 13, 2021. This will be the first time the complete competition will be shown on television by FOX Sports.
The president of the club, Charlon Reynders III, said, “We are excited to host the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show at Lyndhurst, a unique icon of American culture with its park-like landscape and majestic castle overlooking the Hudson River. The wide-open outdoor space at this extraordinary venue allows us to hold a dog show safely while following current social distancing guidelines and public health regulations.”
