A resident of an affluent neighborhood in Delhi experienced the theft of their dog last month. The determined owner offered a reward of ₹1,00,000 for any information leading to the dog’s discovery. The search for Roxy, a beagle, commenced after she was taken from a residence in E block of Greater Kailash – 1 in Delhi at approximately 6 am on October 25. The owners promptly filed a police report, initiating efforts to locate their missing pet.
Posters with the dog’s description were distributed, accompanied by a ₹1,00,000 reward to aid in the search for Roxy. After nearly a month, the female dog, recognized by a small patch on her leg and a pink harness, was found several kilometers away in Faridabad, Haryana.
Surveillance footage was crucial in identifying the culprit, Himanshu, who had stolen the dog from the residence the previous month. Reportedly grappling with the loss of his brother, Himanshu experienced a sense of solitude and developed an affinity for the dog upon first encountering her.
The accused, Himanshu, has been apprehended, and Roxy the beagle has been successfully reunited with her relieved owners.
