An animal shelter, “The Wake County Animal Center” is offering a huge discount on adoption fees for dogs and cats on valentine’s day.
The Wake County Animal Center” wants people to experience the unconditional love by adopting a pet. It will cost only $25 instead of the usual cost of $95 to adopt a dog.
Angie Norden’s family lost their beloved family dog, Dusty, at age 14. After a few months of grieving, they were ready to shake off their heartache by adopting a new puppy, Alley, who pulled at their heartstrings when they went to the shelter Sunday.
“We spoil them rotten and dress them up and love them and spend time with them, so that’s what we’re looking for, somebody to play with and cuddle with and take for car rides and things,” Angie Norden said.
The reduced costs will remain same till Friday.
The Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) of Wake County is also offering a Valentine’s week special, waiving adoption fees on some animals to encourage people to give them another look.
