New York: The Frewsburg Fire Company published a statement to its Facebook page, explaining initiatives to save a border collie whose back legs were trapped in a frozen pond in the town of Carroll, New York City.
“At 7:47 am we were dispatched to a report of a dog that had partially fallen through the ice on a pond,”the statement read , alongside a picture of two firemen in wet equipment holding the puppy over a freezing pond.
” Crews were quick to react as well as were able to securely save the family members pet dog,” the post proceeded. “The owners report he is cozy as well as back to his typical self. Work well done by everybody!”.
The dog, whose name is Tux according to Eerie News Now, was caught on the ice as well as had trouble staying afloat when the rescue group got here.
“He saw them and got excited,” firemen Nick Niles informed the Jamestown Post-Journal. “He was able to crawl out to them. The ice was extremely thin and after that they were able to get him.”.
Additional photos revealed the team immersed past their waists in the freezing water, connected with cables to their shoulders as a procedure of safety and security.
As soon as Tux was reunited with his owners, he was “back to his regular self” as well as appeared to be extremely pleased, Niles said.
