Even two years after her French bulldogs were returned, Lady Gaga’s stolen dog rumor persists.
The woman, Jennifer McBride, who was arrested and charged previously in connection with stealing her pets, has now sued Lady Gaga. She returned her dogs in February 2021 but alleges in a complaint filed that the singer cheated her about surrendering the dogs with a “no questions asked” $500,000 reward promise. She stated in court that she has not received the reward yet. Now, McBride has been sued for fraud and demanded the reward she deserves. Moreover, she is seeking legal compensation for financial “damages,” “pain and suffering,” “mental anguish,” or “loss of enjoyment of life.”
In the complaint, McBride states she “fully performed her obligation under the unilateral contract” of “no questions asked” by giving the dogs back to Lady Gaga. Moreover, she alleges the “House of Gucci” star “never intended to honor their unilateral offer to pay the reward money” and offered the reward “with the intent to defraud and induce members of the public to rely upon it and to act upon the said promise.”
