Stray Dog Thrashed and Dog Lover Threatened In Gota, Gujrat

A Gota woman reported to Sola police that her neighbor battered a stray dog and threatened her because she feeds dogs in her neighborhood.

Priyanka Jha, a 23-year-old Gota Housing Society tenant, filed her complaint on Saturday.

In her FIR, she stated that she gives food and milk to stray dogs in her neighborhood, which she claims causes her neighbor Kamlesh Marwadi to pick fights with her.

On Thursday, at about 9.30 p.m., Jha stated that she noticed a stray dog walking around her home. Marwadi then allegedly began viciously striking the dog with a stick, according to her. However, according to the FIR, she did not say anything to Marwadi.

Jha was warned by Marwadi’s mother not to feed the dogs at the housing complex.

Marwadi has been charged with criminal intimidation by Sola police. The provisions of the Animal Cruelty Prevention Act have also been invoked.
