More Fun For Dogs: Toronto Opens 9 Swimming Pools For Dogs

On Sunday, the city of Toronto opened nine pools for dogs. In these pools, dogs are allowed to swim only at given timings.

The timings for dogs to swim are 4:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m., while their owners close watch their pets and enjoy with them.

The city says another dog-only swim is planned for Sunday, 11 September, at Riverdale Park East, 550 Broadview Ave.

There are some instructions for dog owners who plan to take their dog for a swim next week:

• Only dogs may swim in the pool.
• If a dog needs help, please remove them from the pool immediately.
• An adult aged 18 or older must accompany the dog and watch from the side.
• One adult can bring a maximum of two dogs.
• Reservations are not required. Show up with your dog and sign in.
• Proof of rabies vaccination is required.
• Spectators aged 12 or older are welcome.
• Dogs displaying aggressive behavior will be asked to leave the pool area.
