Horror Unleashed: Pet Dog Beaten to Death in Madhya Pradesh Village

Madhya Pradesh has been grappling with violent episodes targeting marginalized individuals. A shocking video has emerged from Jabalpur district, revealing the merciless beating of a defenseless dog by enraged villagers.

As per reports, the incident occurred on Friday in Kaithra village, within the jurisdiction of Patan police station. Approximately ten villagers, including a local Panchayat office-bearer, stormed Arvind Garg’s house. They forcefully dragged his pet down a flight of stairs and onto the road, subjecting the poor creature to a brutal assault using rods and wooden sticks in broad daylight.

A widely circulated video capturing the distressing incident showcases the dog being forcibly pulled out of a building and onto the road by some attackers while others continue to strike the animal with sticks and rods mercilessly.

The video showed a dog caught in a net and dragged down from the stairs onto the road and beaten without a pause until it gave up its life to injuries.

Following the incident, Garg complained to the local police, alleging that a Panchayat office-bearer, accompanied by ten other villagers, attacked his dog with sticks and rods, resulting in its death, informed Patan police station in-charge Surendra Singh, as reported by news agency PTI.

“The complainant stated  he had lodged a complaint against the illegal possession on government land by the office -bearer. Apart from this, they had a dispute during the panchayat election. He believed that the killing of his dog was a repercussion of these actions,” explained the official.

An investigation has been initiated into the complaint, and appropriate legal measures will be taken based on the probe’s findings, added Singh, police station in-charge.

Preliminary findings indicated that the attackers were motivated by anger after Garg’s pet dog had bitten a family member of the Panchayat office-bearer the previous month. The dog’s continuous barking further contributed to their annoyance, according to Singh.
