Fortunately, Ladybird had a phone number on her collar, facilitating her safe return to her family.
The Sisters-Camp Sherman Fire District shared heartwarming images of Ladybird, showcasing her joy as she interacted with the firefighters, received pets, and even shared affectionate kisses with her rescuer, David Ward.
The Golden Fire started on Saturday and has already caused immense destruction, consuming approximately 43 homes and 42 outbuildings while burning over 2,000 acres of land. Hundreds of residents from Klamath County have been forced to evacuate due to the fast-spreading blaze.
