Farmer Paints Tiger Stripes On Pet Dog To Scare Monkeys

If you are a farmer in Karnataka, you know how hard it is to protect your crops from pests and animals like monkeys.

The farmers with Coffee crops often face an issue with protecting the crops from crows and monkeys. They destroy crops before they are harvested causing major troubles for the farmers.

One of the farmers named Srikanth Gowda, a resident of Nallur village, Theerthahalli taluk of Shivamogga district decided to get creative with a scarecrow option to scare the crows and monkeys away.

He remembered that his father had told once that monkeys and birds are scared of predators such as tigers. So, he decided to paint tiger stripes on his pet labrador Bulbul to make him look like a tiger. He used an eco-friendly color that is washable and pet-friendly. His dog seemed to love the new look as well.

With a 53 acre plantation, it was not easy to manage the monkey menace. But now with his dog looking like a tiger, monkeys keep a distance from his field.
