World Rabies Day on September 28: The move comes in the wake of several dog bite happenings reported in the National Capital Region.
On Monday, the civic body stated that MCD will organize free anti-rabies vaccination camps for pets and stray dogs on September 28, i.e., World Rabies Day.
With the increasing cases of dog bites in Delhi-NCR, this campaign will help control the spread of Rabies in the national capital.
The Veterinary Services department of MCD organized the free-of-cost vaccination campaign in collaboration with the Animal Husbandry department of GNCTD of Delhi.
The camp will be held at five locations:
- Pocket A-3, Mayur Vihar
- Veterinary Hospital Nangli
- Community Centre Malviya Nagar
- Sector-17 Dwarka
- DC Chowk Sector – 9/13 Rohini
The civic body requests people who have pet dogs and animal lovers to bring their dogs to the vaccination camps. It added that this step will help control the rabies incidents in Delhi.
