Amritsar to Spend Rs 3.19 Crore on Dog Sterilization

The Local Government Minister, Dr. Inderbir Singh Nijjar, has announced that the government will invest Rs 3.19 crore in the sterilization of dogs in the Municipal Corporation of Amritsar.

The project aims to ensure the safety of residents and promote animal welfare.

Under the initiative, 20,000 dogs will be sterilized in Amritsar at the cost of approximately Rs 3.19 crore. The minister has emphasized that the project’s goal is to make the lives of residents more secure.

This move is a commendable step towards controlling the stray dog population and promoting the health and well-being of both humans and animals in the region.
