3 Youths Snatched A Pet Dog in Panchkula

Recently, a 3- year- old female Pug, Kiky was snatched by three youths riding a motorcycle in Army Welfare Housing Organization (AWHO) complex, sector 27, Panchkula.  The incident took place when puppy was playing with her owner in the high-secured Vikram Vihar society.

Pet’s owner, Sohinder Kaur said she had just freed Kiky, from her leash when the youths with their faces covered swooped in and snatched Kiky.

“Her snatching is nothing less than kidnappers taking away a child. We carried out searches on our own and later concluded that the three could be the sons of a woman working as domestic help with a family. She had worked with us as well. Police have said that she and her sons are missing since Wednesday night,” said Sohinder.

Kiky was stolen within a week of the family celebrating her third birthday on June 13. She was a gifted to Kaur’s daughter Kirat, an air hostess turned corporate executive.

Now, Kirat has quit her job to search for the pet.

“We are sure she will be with us. It is just a matter of a few hours or days,” said Kirat.

The family has announced a reward of Rs. 50,000 for clues that could help them find her and shared her photos on dog lovers groups in social media. The family members are also taking the help of fortune tellers, tarot card readers and astrologers.

Police have registered a case against the three
