Periodontitis disease occurs as a result of untreated gingivitis. It happens when plaque builds up on a dog’s teeth which then turns into tartar. It’s a disease of the oral cavity that attacks the gums, bone, and delicate tissues surrounding the teeth creating pain.

- Blood spot left on play toys
- Brownish tarter build up on teeth
- Inflamed and sore looking gums
- Dropping food from the mouth even though your dog has an appetite.

Mouth tumors
Mouth tumors are also known as oral tumors. It appears as small to large lumps in the gums near teeth or on the inner jawbone area. Some of the mouth tumors are benign and removed for better comfort, while some are malignant and require immediate surgical removal.
