Stray Dog Carrying Infant Head Scares Residents In Hyderabad

On Sunday, residents of Sahara Colony in Vanasthalipuram were astonished to see a street dog yank a baby’s head away. The head was sent for post mortem examination, according to Vanasthalipuram police, and a case was filed under Section 318 of the Indian Penal Code (concealment of birth by secret disposal of the body).

Karthik was at a milk shop in Mansoorabad on Sunday when he noticed a street dog trotting in front of him with a human head in its teeth. The street dog’s head was left in the bush as he and a few others chased it.

When the cops arrived, they discovered the head of a newborn who was probably two to three days old. The torso is still missing. It appears that the child’s parents did not properly bury the body. It’s possible that street dogs stumbled on the body and split the head and torso apart. However, it is simply a suspicion, and an investigation is underway to determine the truth, stated an official.

The area’s surveillance footage is being examined to determine where the dog discovered the head.
