A dog lying hilariously in his owner’s car has left people in splits.
Ellen Mackenzie, from Wawa, Ontario, US, posted the photo and video on TikTok.
A cute dog named Howard was captured in the car’s back seat, resting his head between the seats with his legs dangling over the front. It seems that there are two different dogs.
Howard likes to lean over the back seat to sniff whatever’s in the trunk. However, at the time Ellen tried to catch his attention, he had his heart and mind on the food. So, with his front legs planted in the trunk, he turned his head and rested it on the side of the headrest as his hind legs dangled from the seat.
Ellen was quoted as saying by Mirror, “He’s all legs at the moment. He’s still trying to figure out how those work.”
Howard is an intelligent dog and has learned how to swim and walk calmly through dog-friendly stores. But the only thing he doesn’t learn is how to sit in a car. However, he is still working on it.
Even though the dog gets the entire backseat of the car to chill, he chooses to examine other places in the vehicle.
He happily jumps into the front seat when a car is parked and his safety harness is unclipped. Howard loves to stand on all four legs when the car is moving and stick his head out of the open sunroof.
Ellen stated, “He’ll put his head out, and you’ll just see ears and chops flapping in the wind.”
When he smells something delicious in the car’s trunk, his long front legs flop over the barrier, leaving his hind legs dangling over the back seat.

Howard had grown too big to wrap himself around the middle headrest when the video was shoot.
Ellen stated, “Now when he does it, he can’t turn around. He gets his back end stuck between the middle headrest and the side headrest. I have to stop the car completely to get him unstuck.”
