Kolkata Police To Study Behala Traffic After Dog Deaths

The Kolkata traffic police plan to study and investigate roadkill incidents after a pet dog and a stray dog were run over cars near Behala Flying Club.

The man whose pet dog was killed in the accident appealed in a social media post that road signs should be put up in the location and speed-breakers must be installed in such areas with a high probability of foot traffic.

The sources say that the local police are now ready to study the traffic patterns and movements around the location to develop a plan to avoid road accidents. The incidents that triggered this response include a death of a pet dog on October 7 and a stray dog’s death a few days prior.

The tweet from the pet owner received a response from the officials saying that his complaint would be examined and action would be taken to avoid such incidents moving forward.
