Heartwarming: Boy with prosthetic legs finds best friend in dog born without paw

If there’s ever a heartwarming story that will make you feel positive and give you hope about animal-human friendship, this is it.

Marvel is a golden retriever who was born with three paws. Paxton Williams is a 7-year-old boy who had his right leg amputated three years ago.

The dog has found a best friend in Paxton and a forever home with his family in Minnesota. Their story is now winning hearts online.

Marvel, who was the only in her litter to be born with one less paw, was rehomed with the help of Barb Felt, the breeder of Rolling Oaks Golden.

Barb knew the pup needed special care. So, she decided to rehome her with someone who also had a limb difference.

“When she was born, we knew right away she had a special purpose. We wanted her to go in a home with someone who had a limb difference,” Felt was quoted as saying by People.

Flet got in touch with the Willams family and knew straight away that Paxon, who too had a limb difference, would be a great friend for Marvel.

Paxton was born premature and soon suffered from a complication that leads to an infection in his right leg. In 2018, his parents had to make the difficult decision of amputating his right leg and replacing it with a prosthetic, according to a CBS Minnesota report.
