Florida’s Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Deputies Rescue Dog From a Storm Drain

Florida: Sheriff’s deputies in Hillsborough County are recognized for saving the life of a tiny dog. In Clair-Mel, a little chihuahua went down a storm drain. Deputies enlisted public works assistance and were able to free the animal.

The officers utilized private equipment to remove the storm cover and were able to retrieve the puppy from the drain. The team of Public Works assisted them. It was indeed a collaborative effort.

While Deputy Holley warmed him up, Deputy Hansen gave food to the sad little puppy. The puppy is now doing well and is being treated at a local animal hospital.
