First CT Scanner For Pets To Be Installed In Gurugram’s CGS hospital

Gurugram’s CGS hospital is all set to get India’s first CT scanner machine for pets at the price of INR 2 crore.

According to hospital authorities, the CT scan machine at CGS hospital will be first of its kind in India. At present, the scanner machines that are used for humans are also used to scan pets.

Benefits of the New Pet CT Scanner

With help of new pet CT scanner machine, the surgical procedure will be easy and reduce the surgical time by helping the veterinarians spot the exact location of tumors. It will also help vets to recognize the levels of canine and feline cancers better and serious cases of injuries.

Their new ophthalmology unit will help treat eye-related ailments including cataract which has become common in dogs. In India, the treatment is currently not available.

“We aim to set standards in pet care and the hospital is run as part of a Corporate Social Responsibility activity,” said Samar S. Mahendran, Director of the hospital.

The hospital also provides emergency medical treatment to stray dogs and cats and their emergency services are available from 7 PM to 8 AM.
