A leopard in Maharashtra’s Ahmednagar was frightened off by a brave pet dog while attempting to attack another dog sleeping outside a house.
A house CCTV camera recorded the incident.

The video, with over 400,000 views on Twitter, depicted a pet dog peacefully sleeping near the entrance of a house in Rahuri town, Ahmednagar, during the night. Suddenly, a leopard emerged and stealthily approached the dog.
As the leopard prepared to strike, the dog promptly awakened and barked at the large feline. Despite being cornered, the dog continued to howl defiantly at the predator. Surprisingly, the leopard began to retreat as the dog’s barks intensified. Startled by the dog’s persistence, the leopard backed off and swiftly fled the scene. Twitter users applauded the courageous efforts of the dog in protecting itself and the house.
One Twitter user commented, “The leopard was startled and left.” In a similar incident last month, a leopard approached a man and his pet dog while asleep in Maharashtra. The leopard attacked the dog before swiftly carrying it away in its mouth.
