Austin, Texas: The husband-and-wife team of A Pup Above, Javier and Ruth Marriott, never intended to launch a business. It all started with a search for the best food for their pet puppy Lola. The couple wanted to provide the best meal other than kibble. Their choices were limited to raw food only, as it was the only fresh food available in the market during that time. 

So, Ruth started to cook for Lola, and eventually, Lola started to enjoy home-cooked meals more than kibble and any other market food.
