2 Vets booked After Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao’s Pet Dog Died

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has 9 pets. Recently, one of his pet dogs, an 11-month-old Siberian Husky died due to negligence in treatment by the vets according to the canine’s handler. A police complaint was lodged against the veterinarians named Dr. Rajith and Dr. Lakshmi Srinivas, who run a private animal clinic in Banjara Hills road.

The police have started the investigation and the post-mortem report is awaited. The duo has been booked under IPC section 429. If the accusations are proven, the vets might face a hefty fine or even a jail term of up to 5 years.

What happened?

Out of the 9 pet dogs of the chief minister, the Husky reportedly stopped eating. On September 10, the handler of the dog Asif Ali Khan took the dog to the doctors. The vets’ prescribed medicines to Husky but his health deteriorated even further. The dog was shifted to their animal clinic on Banjara roads, where it died.

The handler Asif Khan alleged negligence on the part of doctors and filed the case with the police.

There hasn’t been any statement from the two doctors booked in the case.
