People with pets can now rejoice as Etihad Airways, UAE’s national carrier has not permitted flyers to carry their dogs and pets in the cabin for a certain fee.
According to the information posted on Etihad’s website, the pets must be at least 16-week old and also weigh no more than 8kg including the carrier weight. Also, the passenger along with the pet must be 18 years old.
It would cost you USD 150 per flight to travel with a dog or cats for flights of 6 hours or less, and USD 250 for flights over 6 hours or longer. The pet will sit in the carrier under the seat of the passenger, or the guardian/owner can purchase an adjacent seat next to them for the carrier to sit on.
