6 Things Your Dog Hates About You

From a dog’s viewpoint, humans are bemusing. Sometimes, we are persuaded with our actions of fondness towards dogs, like kissing, putting on hats and fancy clothes for a cute outlook, and hugging. But in fact, they are hated by our dogs. Do we realize that? No. We do such annoying things without knowledge of their irritation towards this behavior.

Usually, they permit us because they are faithful towards us and placid. In reality, they often dislike, or you can say, hate, such attitudes done by humans. There are some features or daily schedules dogs dislike, and we consider them on the list of hates. Some dogs dislike kissing and hugging, and a few do not like certain gestures.

Sometimes their body language shows their annoying situation due to this. There are a few things you can’t resist. These include grooming sessions and health-related veterinarian visits. Every dog is different from others.

So, one’s likeness may be another one’s hate. There is no hard and fast rule about which dog will hate what. However, there are a few things that they hate.

6 Things You Do That Your Dog Hates

1. Hugdog hug

Though it looks beautiful hugging a dog in the photo, it may be an annoying situation for your canine buddies. The majority of dogs don’t like being hugged by an unknown person. Due to their instinctive nature, a hand around their shoulder is considered a warning. Usually, dogs permit a tender hug from a known person.

But do not consider it as a cherished item for them. A finer option would be to allow the dog to embrace their conditions. If the dog is unknown to you, pamper him in the back and chest area. So, it’s better to know your dog’s likes and dislikes because they do not enjoy hugging. It is essential to observe their body gesture during the time of hugging.

If they lick their lips, yawn, appear inclined off, and even avoid eye contact, it suggests they are annoyed. On the other hand, if they display aliasing body language, such gestures mean they are uneasy.

2. Handling a dog’s face is an indication of trespassing in its areaHandling a dog’s face

Same as the hugging gesture, they also dislike handling their face by us. Think about how you feel if someone tries to handle your face without your consent. Thus, it is wise enough to keep your hand out of its face. Never try to impose on dogs and dash towards them.

For the betterment of dogs, it is necessary to nudge and poke like in the time of ear grooming and brushing. In such a scenario, do it very slowly, smoothly, and give some enjoying treat. If they display aggression and fear, go back and prevent yourself from dog bites.

3. Oppose your dog from sniffing in time of walkOppose your dog from sniffing in time of walk

Dogs prefer walking over-exercise. It is an opportunity for them to explore the outside world. Primarily they observe, or you can notify their surrounding through their smelling power and other instincts. Whereas in our case, we do it through our visions.

Pushing your dog for a faster walk and omitting or resisting him to take the smell of everything on their path is painful for them. The situation is like someone dragging us into a shop without permitting us to observe the displayed items.

If this occurs frequently, it becomes annoying for them and us too. So, better allow him to sniff the surrounding area to identify everything.

4. Absence of rules and regulation

Though they don’t prefer the rules and regulations, it is obvious to them. Due to the lack of training, they may behave at odds. Training is an effective tool to frame their behavior. A dog has a timetable of its nature, so a routine is required to fix this. Give food on time every day.

Maintain a regular exercise chart and a fixed rule for a few days. You can observe that your dog is happy and healthy. Pattern makes a dog’s daily life more foreseeable and increases their self-reliance.

5. Rude behavior towards them

Nobody likes a rude attitude, whether it’s human or animal. Dogs do not recognize your speech but your behavior through body language. In the case of soft nature dogs, they become scared of it when you yell at them. It makes your bonding weak. Even if your dog is jovial, it will not be like you are talking loudly or rude.

Eventually, it will give no response to you. Instead of being angry with them, train them with commands like leave this, drop that, which work well. Also, rectify them with the ‘follow me’ command if they do something wrong, and remember to give them a treat if they do it properly.

6. Dressing up and strong scentsDressing up

Many dogs dislike wearing dresses. So, putting on some fancy dress makes them annoyed. You will see the dogs tensed or displaying reactions. These are clear indications of their discomfort. In the case of the winter season, put on some lightweight dresses. So, constricting clothing is a strict no-no for your furry friend.

Finally, on our list is strong fragrances. Yes, your dog hates strong fragrances. As dogs got a much superior smelling sense than us, strong fragrances irritate them. Very few dogs are averse to strong smells. So, it is advisable not to put some high-smelling substance on them.

For instance, citrus-scented products are a strict no-no. Hence, avoiding shampoos, conditioners, and lotions with citrus smells will be wise enough. Many dogs hate the smell of grapefruits, oranges, tangerines, and even lemons.
