5 People Booked For Pouring Acid On A Stray Dog In Bengaluru

According to authorities, the accused would go around intoxicated on the streets late at night and bother stray dogs. Five persons have been charged in Karnataka for assaulting a street dog and allegedly dumping acid on it, according to police. An elderly woman who confronted the criminals was also threatened. An FIR has been filed in this case by the Banashankari police.

According to authorities, the accused would go around intoxicated on the streets late at night and bother the street dogs. They liked it when street dogs barked at them.

On March 4, the defendants tied up a street dog in Banashankari’s Ambedkarnagar and bashed it for no apparent cause. They then allegedly sprayed it with acid and gasoline. They threatened a 50-year-old woman with the same fate when she questioned them.

After receiving assistance from a social activist, the woman filed a police report in this respect. The injured five-year-old male canine has been taken to an animal rescue centre for treatment. Bunny is the name given to the dog by the centre.

Police have filed a complaint under IPC Sections 34 (multiple-person criminal conduct), 428 (mischief by killing, poisoning, maiming, or rendering useless any animal), 429 (mischief by killing or maiming cattle, etc.), and 354 (mischief by killing or maiming livestock, etc). (any man who assaults or uses criminal force to any woman or abets such act with the intention).

Investigation is still in progress.
