Ex-Soldier Beaten Up For Feeding Stray Dogs In Gujrat

Recently, an 80-year-old, GS Negi, who was a lieutenant in Indian Navy, was brutally beaten by a man for feeding stray dogs in Thiruvizha Apartment of Sector-10, Gujrat.

What happened?

The incident took place on 24 July, in the evening when Negi was feeding a breed of Indian stray dogs in the park behind their society. A man, resident of the same society came and thrashed the retired 80 yr old man for feeding the strays.

“At around 8 pm, I was feeding the community dogs in the park behind my society. One Mathew who is a resident of the same colony suddenly came out from the gate and stood in front of me in an intimidating manner. He started abusing me and then thrashed me. I was bleeding profusely,” GS Negi, the victim said.

Negi got three stitches on his forehead. In the medical report, it’s clearly mentioned the case of assault. A complaint has been filed against the accused by Negi in the Dwarka police station at Sector-9.

The senior officials said that an FIR will soon be registered under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code.
